Your most memorable cruise
Over all the years is there a cruise that you remember well ?
Mine was one of the first East Mids ones that cruisenotts setup, it ended up at Morrissons in Mansfield and it was absolutely packed.. People from as far as Scotland attended, some really nice motors and I'm pretty sure there was magazine coverage.. Do not have any old pics unfortunately

RE: Your most memorable cruise
The most memorable cruise i went to was in 2000 in newquay cornwall ( where im from) as many of you know each year newquay holds RTTS (Run to the sun) which originally was a rally for VW fans which still happens but over the years more & more modified cars have been involved. At this particular cruise there must have been well over 500 people and cars and this is back in the days where the police didnt stop you doing do-nuts or burn outs.....
my friend caught one guys burn out on film and as i was one of the crowd holding the car down i got lots of hot rubber all over my legs (because back then i would have been wearing a short skirt).... wicked fun but alas you cant get away with that anymore!!!! ![]() IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS THAN ASK FOR PERMISSION!!! |

East Mids 2 & 3, can't remember which was which.
Can you help me out Dave, wasn't 2 where it ended up at Mansfield, with the guys on the Cherry Picker, and the 2 Mk2 Escorts popping flames? If so... EM3 Was the better one, an Industrial Estate just on the outskirts of Leicester M1/A46 area.. Ram-packed, full of nicely modified motors. 4 Cop cars parked in middle of huuge car park as we entered. (They left.) Stormin night, hope to do it again! Keavy, Thor, Angel, Willow - Always in our thoughts. - TheGreshlets.com Smooth Criminal : Modified Car Club |

I had not been in the scene that long as I can remember. It was awesome tho. There is a magazine report somewhere I shall dig it out ![]() AREA REPS NEEDED - Contact me for info - daveh83@live.co.uk |

RE: Your most memorable cruise
my best cruise was for a friend who at the age of 22 died in his sleep so we held a remorial cruise for him, loads of other clubs attended and for those who knew him signed a book to be sent to his parents.
All the cars had a dark purple ribbon on them as that was his favouriate colour and at the end of the evening we let off a load of purple ballons into the sky. my 2nd one was one that was featured in the fast car magazine, where we had it at the XSport racing company area it was just brilliant with an area cornered off for drifting (for those who could) and other stuff brilliant but very tireing night. I have been to a few other wicked cruises by other clubs that have been good as well, but for ever cruise you go to its what you do and the people that you are with that make the night, plus the getting there. we use 2 way radios so the banter is on going there and coming back!
